Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) will have a regular monthly training / work party / equipment test session starting next Tuesday evening. Every fourth Tuesday from 5:30 pm. We will operate from there during the Washington County ARES/RACES net at 7:00 and the Training Net at 8:00. Mark your calendars. All members that are assigned to the WCSO are to attend and any one else that has security clearance may also attend. | WCSO Security Clearance Process: Contact N7QQU He will send an email with the details to you. Follow the steps in the email. He will send an email to the WCSO about verifing your identity. When you receive the applications from the WCSO, return them in the enveloped provided as soon as possible. It takes 6 weeks for background check to be completed. Once you pass background check, you will be called in for an interview with the background investigator. They will fingerprint you and take your id photo at the same time. Within a week of that, they will email the Volunteer Coordinator at the WCSO and let them know you are approved for the program. Call or email the Volunteer Coordinator at that point and set up your orientation. Orientation will take place during 2 evenings from 5pm - 9 pm for a total of 8 hours. You must attend both sessions. |
